Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information HubThrive ("HubThrive," "we," "us") collects through the HubThrive website and the Thrive Tab browser extension, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to both products, since they work together.

Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address.

Information from the Thrive Tab extension

The lists, cards, links, and notes you create in Thrive Tab are stored locally in your browser and are never sent to us - unless you explicitly choose to share a list. If you share a list, its content (titles, links, notes, cards) is stored on our servers so that anyone with the share link can view it, along with the IP address the share was created from. If you subscribe to someone else's shared list, that content is downloaded to your device the same way any other web content would be.

The extension also generates a random identifier stored on your device (not tied to your name or email) used to associate shared/subscribed lists with your installation and for basic product analytics.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site and the share pages linked from Thrive Tab. This collects standard usage data (pages viewed, general location, device/browser type) through cookies and similar technologies. The extension separately reports basic usage events (such as installation and errors) to Google Analytics.

We also log IP addresses for security and operational purposes - for example, to prevent abuse of our forms and API (rate-limiting),

If you uninstall the extension

When you remove Thrive Tab, Chrome opens a short optional feedback page on our website. The link to that page carries the extension's random identifier described above, the extension version, how many days it had been installed, and some general statistics. This information is sent only at the moment you uninstall, never on a schedule while the extension is installed.

Every question can be skipped. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal detail. If you close the page without submitting, nothing is sent to us at all. The information in the survery is soley intended to help us improve the product.

How We Use Information

  • To respond to messages sent through our contact form and to send newsletter emails you've signed up for
  • To operate the shared-lists and marketplace features of Thrive Tab
  • To maintain the security of our services and prevent abuse
  • To understand how our website and extension are used, so we can improve them

How We Share Information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with Google Analytics, for the usage analytics described above.

Separately: shared lists are, by design, visible to anyone who has the share link - that's the point of the feature. Don't share a list that contains information you don't want to be publicly viewable.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, described above
  • A short-lived cookie (cleared after 30 minutes) set only when you click "Install" on a shared-list page, used to hand that list off to the extension right after install

Thrive Tab Browser Permissions

The extension requests browser permissions (such as storage, favicon access, and access to web pages) solely to let it save your board locally, fetch site icons for the links you add, and open new tabs with your board. It does not read your browsing history or the content of other pages you visit.

Data Retention

We keep contact-form and newsletter data, and shared-list content, for as long as needed to provide these features, or until you ask us to delete it. Security logs (like rate-limit and login records) are kept for a limited operational period and then cycled out.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain uses of it - for example, under the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA (California). To exercise any of these rights, or with any other privacy question, contact us.

Children's Privacy

HubThrive and Thrive Tab are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
